Beautiful Degas Sculpture

The piece is very nicely crafted as the replica of this Edgar Degas piece. While the piece is very stable sitting on a table, it does have a very slight wobble if touched. Had the base had a smoother bottom, it would likely eliminate the wobble. That said knowing that the sculpture is intended to be viewed rather than touched.

Really a masterpiece. Embodies everything wonderful in his paintings & pastels of the subject...but even better because you can absorb it from all angles & variations of light (like owning a thousand Degas works!)...and the reproduction is spot on. Added benefit is that it opens the door to so many memories of the Met (possibly the best place on the planet). A (true) artist I love said it would be the sculpture by Degas that he would have in his studio.
