Celebrating the beauty of the natural world, this luminous necklace highlights the pure elegance of unadorned herbs, shrubs, berries, and leaves. It recalls the verdant gardens at The Met Cloisters, the branch of The Met devoted to the art and architecture of medieval Europe. Sage was a healing plant of great renown throughout the Middle Ages and was also valued as a culinary herb. It grows in a bed devoted to kitchen plants at The Met Cloisters, and is also depicted in the Unicorn Tapestries.
The necklace was produced by Four Seasons Design Group, a family-run business based in Long Island, New York. The Met Store has sold the company's unique jewelry designs, art-inspired reproductions, and home goods since 1969.

Whenever I wear this beautiful necklace, everyone wants to know where I got it. It takes a little tweaking to get it to lay properly on the neck, but the result is just lovely!
Received as gift. It is attractive, but doesn't lay flat and is hard to put on and wear. The pieces are rough and twist and are at risk of breaking when trying to fix. I do not recommend.
The chokewas well received, the packaging was not.

My wife has enjoy the gift and has received many compliment. The only complaint we have is the box the gift came in did a poor job of presenting the choker. We also had to de-twist the choker every time it was removed from the box.
I will be returning this item. Attractive as it is in the catalogue, and as attractive as it still is when you unwrap it, it does not work well at all when you actually try to wear it. The interconnections between the separate two leaf sections have a tendency to snag and not flow smoothly, and the necklace as a whole does not sit well around the neck as the different sections twist and stubbornly work against each other: seems it's not possible for it to stay right side up and in place even while it is being worn after having worked hard initially to straighten and align it around the neck. Also the clasp is tiny, and slippery, almost impossible to grasp and hold in position to clasp or unclasp even with the help of a second person. As lovely as the necklace is in principle, you should not be offering for sale an item that mechanically has so many deficiencies to the point that it is not wearable with any ease even with practice.
I purchased this necklace for a gift. While I understand this is costume jewelry, the quality was far below items I previously purchased from the Met Store. The photos looked great, but item was very disappointing. _x000D_
With that said, I continue to support Met. The return process was simple, even though I had not yet received credit for the return, I am confident it will be handled well.
