Van Gogh Roses Scented Soap and Porcelain Dish Gift Set
Artful gifts for the home.
The perfect host or hostess gift, this ribbon-wrapped porcelain dish and rose-scented soap set is decorated with details from a beloved bouquet in The Met collection. In May of 1890, on the eve of his departure from the asylum in Saint-Rémy, Vincent van Gogh (Dutch, 1853–1890) painted a group of four exceptional still lifes, including the Museum's Roses. Though the color has since faded, traces of pink nestled in the blooms and along the tabletop hint at the vividness of the artist's "canvas of pink roses against a yellow-green background in a green vase" in its original state.
