This glass tumbler was reproduced from an original glass in The Met collection. The renowned modernists Massimo (American, b. Italy, 1931–2014) and Lella Vignelli (American, b. Italy, 1934–2016) count among the world's most influential and prolific post-World War II designers. The couple first conceived of this glassware in 1979 as part of a larger design commission for an Italian hotel chain.
