I live in New Zealand and I purchased a set of these several years ago and use them everyday, as do my family. I have quality furniture and the a resin finished kitchen table top - the coasters are excellent at protecting them and they still look as good as new. Highly recommended.
5 years ago while visiting the museum I purchased the rug coasters as souvenirs for work colleague's and kept one for myself. I still get compliments to this day. Everyone likes them so much:) Glad to see they are still available to purchase. Thank you.
These coasters are not only lovely but also useful. For once the coaster does not cling to a damp glass. The rubber backing is terrific too. Much admired by guests.
Protects surface against heat, moisture, scratches from coffee mugs to wine glasses--and they look so classy. Only negative, a bit small. Another 1/2 inch of width would accommodate beverage containers better.
Unfortunately I had to return this item. I purchased the Coaster Rug Set for a gift but was disappointed when they arrived. The rubber backside is textured and the white ink on the back does not print clearly on the textured rubber so it's smudged. Also, they do not come boxed, just wrapped in a plastic bag. The fantastic product description along with the notation "Made in the USA" is in very small font, printed on a paper wrapped around the 4 coasters. It would be ripped apart trying to undo the coasters without the recipient knowing the provenance of the coasters.
