Redon Bouquet of Flowers Salad Plate Set
Our set of four attractive stoneware plates highlights colorful blooms from Bouquet of Flowers, a beautiful pastel drawing in The Met collection by Odilon Redon (French, 1840–1916). Perfect for lunch or dessert, these pretty plates with scalloped edges can be mixed and matched with other dishes.
Redon was friends with the curator of the botanical gardens in his hometown of Bordeaux, and his late floral still lifes (such as this one, made ca. 1900–1905) demonstrate a naturalist's sense of wonder as well as a richly inventive imagination.
