Van Gogh Roses Platter
Serve up springtime with our pretty platter featuring a detail from one of Vincent van Gogh's (Dutch, 1853–1890) celebrated bouquets. In May of 1890, on the eve of his departure from the asylum in Saint-Rémy, the Dutch artist painted four exceptional still lifes, including the tranquil Roses (1890) in The Met collection. Though the color has since faded, traces of pink nestled in the blooms and along the tabletop hint at the vividness of the artist's "canvas of pink roses against a yellow-green background in a green vase" in its original state.
